Les Pollués de Montréal-Trudeau will hold a press conference…
Day: Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 10.30 am
Location: TAZ
Address: 8931 Papineau Avenue, Montreal, QC H2M 2G2
…to announce details of the installatation of aircraft noise measuring stations in Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Saint-Laurent, Mont-Royal and Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension, and the results collected so far in these sectors.
All persons who wish to attend are welcome: they will be able to attest to the fact that aircraft flying over their homes is a source of stress, lack of sleep, loss of quality of life, etc.
All those who have received some respite this summer because of the work done on one of the two main runways of the airport should also be concerned: the situation will return to normal at the beginning of October.

The noise monitoring network is great work!!
I was looking for more information on this on the web site and could not find it.
If you haven’t already done it, it would be useful to have one of your units at a same location as
an official unit, and ideally to rotate some of your units to one of their locations, so as to demonstrate
the accuracy of your units.

Bonjour Duncan,
We unfortunately cannot rotate our sound stations from one neighbourhood to an another because their microphones are screwed on the houses with a wires through the walls + the installation inside the houses. Easier said than done! The best thing would be adding extra ones in the vicinity of ADM’s stations. The cost 500$/station. We actually have a station to install in St-Sulpice and we did not, as of yet, find the host. It is not an easy process but we keep going on. Hope to see you soon! Francine Lauzon
